TmsAiX Driver: privacy policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

TmsAiX Driver ("the app") is made by TmsAiX ("TmsAiX", "we") for drivers of carriers that use TmsAiX, a system for running a trucking company. Your carrier, the company you drive for, chose TmsAiX and invited you to the app. The records the app keeps for your carrier are your carrier's: we keep and process them on its behalf, and its own policies say how it uses them.

This policy says what the app collects, why, who sees it, how long it's kept, and what you can do about it.

What the app collects

  • Your name and email address, from your carrier's invite and when you sign in: to sign you in and to show your carrier who did what.
  • Your account id, made when you accept the invite: to tie your records to you.
  • Your loads, stop taps and reefer readings: the loads dispatch sends you, and each Arrived, Loaded, Unloaded and Departed you tap, with its time, and the reefer temperatures you give.
  • Paperwork and chat photos, only when you take them, with the camera. The app never opens your photo library. A photo's hidden details, such as where and when it was taken and the camera's make, are removed before it is sent.
  • Chat messages and notes you write to dispatch and your team.
  • Location, only as your carrier sets it and you allow it:
    • with your permission, where you were when you tapped a stop or scanned paperwork;
    • trip sharing, only if your carrier uses it and only after you turn it on: while you're on a load, about once a minute while you're moving and every five minutes while you're stopped. It stops after the last stop or when you stop it. Off a load, nothing is shared.

You can say no: stop taps and paperwork work without your location.

  • Facts about your phone: its model, its system version, the app's version, a random install id the app makes, whether you allowed location, and the push token that lets us send you notifications.

The app doesn't collect your contacts, your files, health or financial information, your browsing, crash or performance reports, or any advertising id. Face ID and fingerprints are checked by your phone and never leave it.

How it's used

Only to run the app for you and your carrier: to show your loads, record your stops and paperwork, carry your chat, send your notifications, and show your carrier's dispatch where the truck is while you share it.

No ads, no selling of your data, no tracking across other apps or websites, no analytics and no profiling.

Notifications

The app tells you about new loads, re-takes, messages and mentions. A notification says at most what kind of thing happened and the load's number, and your carrier can choose less. It never shows a message's words, a name, a place or an amount. Notifications travel through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging and, on an iPhone, Apple's push service, which carry them and the ids the app needs to open the right screen. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings.

Who sees it

  • Your carrier: its dispatchers and owners see your loads, stop taps, paperwork and chat, and your location while you share it, as their roles in TmsAiX allow.
  • Never another carrier. Each carrier's records are kept apart.
  • TmsAiX staff, only with your carrier's time-limited support grant, and every look is logged.
  • Our service providers, only to provide their service: Microsoft Azure, which stores everything; Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging, which delivers notifications; and Apple, for notifications to an iPhone.
  • Anyone the law requires, and only what it requires.

Where it's kept, and for how long

Everything is stored in Microsoft Azure, in the Central US region, and travels encrypted between the app and TmsAiX.

  • Trip locations: 30 days, unless your carrier chooses another length between 1 and 365 days.
  • Chat: while your carrier's account is active, unless your carrier chooses a shorter time, from 90 days to five years.
  • Notifications: 30 days after they're cleared, and never more than 180 days.
  • Your phone's record: when you sign out, the push token stops being used, and the record goes 30 days later. A phone not seen for 120 days is treated the same way.
  • Loads, stop records and paperwork are your carrier's business records. Your carrier decides how long it keeps them.
  • On the phone: your sign-in for up to 14 days, in the phone's secure storage (never your password), and what waits to send until it is sent. Forget this phone, in the app's You tab, removes all of it.

Your choices

  • Location: allow it or not when the app asks, stop sharing at any time, and change it in your phone's settings.
  • Notifications: turn them off in your phone's settings.
  • Face or fingerprint: turn the lock on or off in the app's You tab.
  • This phone: Forget this phone removes everything the app kept on it.
  • Your records: to see or correct what your carrier holds about you, ask your carrier, or write to us at (the support address isn’t set yet).

Delete your account

Your TmsAiX account was made when you accepted your carrier's invite. You can delete it yourself, at any time, with your password:

  • In the app: You → Delete my account.
  • On the web: sign in to TmsAiX, then Your account → Delete my account.

Can't sign in? Reset your password with "Forgot password?" on the sign-in page first, then delete your account. For help, write to (the support address isn’t set yet).

  • What goes: every session and phone of yours, your sign-in, and your name and email address on your account. You can no longer sign in.
  • What stays: what you recorded for your carrier, such as stop taps, paperwork and chat messages, stays with your carrier as its business records, shown as by "Deleted user".
  • It can't be undone. If a carrier invites you again, that makes a new account.
  • Your carrier can also remove your access at any time.

Children

The app is for drivers, who are adults. It isn't meant for anyone under 18.

Changes

When this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date. If a change matters to how your data is used, the app or an email tells you first.
